Request the Board approve the initiative to seek a .5% school capital outlay surtax, thereby authorizing District staff to proceed with the development of the required Board Resolution, plan for use of tax proceeds and all other associated documentation needed for pursuit of said surtax.

The School Board has provided the Superintendent with a consensus indicating its desire to proceed with pursuit of a .5% school capital outlay surtax.  Board approval is requested for such an initiative directing District staff to proceed with development of the necessary Board Resolution, plan for use of sales tax revenues and other documentation needed to place this matter before the County Commission and the voting public.
